Roof rain runs rampant

To the gutter, gratings swim

And drainpipes splutter.

Storm force winds bashing,

Rain lashing, waves crashing, sea

Hands coast a thrashing.

Football training and

It’s raining. They don’t care - they’re

Young and love fresh air.

Rain wet waterproofs,

Wet umbrellas and wet boots,

Drying in hallways.

Hardy bunches with

Packed lunches like to hike, so

Brave the rain again.

Hard rain, hot sun, steam

Rising, cycle on. Cold dawn,

No sun, cycle off.
