THE GOOD OLD DAYS
Old nursery rhymes
Of spoons and cows roll back the
Times to then from now.
YHA The Great
Outdoors, sheet sleeping bags, bunk
Beds, and morning chores.
Yesterday’s heroes
On cigarette cards. Short back
And sides. Tackled hard.
Old 80s bands play
One night stands around the land.
Small halls but great fans.
Grandfather clocks that
Tick and tock and chime tell the
Olden, golden time.
Whether the weather
Is hot or cold we’ll weather
It with rhymes of old.
For the guinea fee
He got, Sir Quentin spoke such
Awful tommyrot.
