Dad’s car’s called “The Bus”

For the sports team trips it does.

Sing loud, he’s not fussed.

 

Motorway, hot day,

Let’s stop halfway. Re-fuel, drink,

Trough, use loos, drive off.

 

Earphones signalling

“Do not disturb”, they step out

Trancelike from the kerb.

 

His spirits are damp:

His car’s been clamped, he’s fought the

Parkie and got lamped.

 

Dog tired, on he rides,

Cat's eyes either side, what a

Pig of a long drive.
